DCS ammonia plant process coordinator
Azomures
"I work as DCS ammonia plant process coordinator supervising both ammonia plant processes and technological disturbances. I initially studied Industrial Economic Engineering, but my passion for technology led me to continue my studies with a master's degree in Computer aided design and fabrication.
I joined Azomures in 2013 through a program for young graduates but quickly saw that my place was in the heart of the chemical plant, at the ammonia factory. My first position was that of Chief Shift Engineer where I was heavily involved in our revamping of the ammonia plant. After the completion of the revamp, I moved to the role of Process Coordinator at the new control room.
I always try to optimize the process and make the work easier for my team. This position is a continuous challenge, so I am constantly working to develop the standard operational procedures to include job safety analysis and critical checklists to mitigate human error. To further enhance my skill set and I am also studying for an additional master’s at the University of chemical engineering in the branch of Advanced chemical process engineering.
My role includes training, which I really enjoy. I find chances to improve the processes and quality of work for each member of our team. I try to pass my passion for work on to everyone every day, I strongly believe that the best way to lead a team is to have a common goal: continuous improvement."
