ACTIVITIES IN UGANDA

 

Since 2011 the Ameropa Foundation has been active in Kampala, specifically in Kamwokya, trying to widen the impact through the addition of complementary projects throughout the years.

Currently the Ameropa Foundation is present in Uganda with the following projects:

  • Micro-Finance Institute Finem (Co-Founded with FINEM in 2009)
  • Kamwokya Community Centre Playground located in Kamwokya, Kampala (Since 2016)
  • Partnership project with Swisscontact (Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation) - Permaculture in support of Income and Food Security (In 2022)

OUR KEY PROJECTS

 

FINEM

 
In January 2009 a Micro-Credit-Institute, FINEM, opened business in Kampala. Since the beginning more than 6’214 loans have been approved and distributed.

KAMWOKYA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

 
The Ameropa Foundation has been active in Kampala since 2016, specifically in the low-income settlement of Kamwokya, a poverty-stricken urban district on the margins of the city.

In 2022 the Ameropa Foundation partnered with Swisscontact (Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation) for a project in Uganda - Permaculture in Support of Income and Food Security.
