Ameropa enters an agreement with Vivescia
Ameropa Holding AG is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with the French Vivescia Group concerning the sale of Ameropa’s subsidiary, Interbrau G.m.b.H (Hamburg/Germany).
The closing of this transaction is subject to certain conditions including the authorization from the competent competition authority and is currently expected by end of September.
This transaction is the result of the wish of both parties to concentrate on and strengthen their respective core businesses.
Ameropa is among the leading grain traders in Central Eastern Europe and is currently undertaking sizeable investments to enhance its grain origination infrastructure, including the construction of a new port terminal in Constanta.
Vivescia is among the major players in malting barley origination in France and, through Malt Europe, numbers among the world’s leaders in the malt industry. This operation is an assertion of Vivescia’s ambition to strengthen its involvement and expertise throughout the barley – malt – beer value chain at the international level.
The acquisition of Interbrau should therefore be mutually beneficial for Interbrau, Vivescia and Ameropa.
