Operational excellence
After the completion of our massive investment program in Romania, we have set as our next goal to reach ‘operational excellence’ in Azomures. Also, in line with our top sustainability priority, we want to give a boost to our efforts at Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in our Romanian operations.
To achieve this, we have been joined by two experienced managers. Harri Tapio Kiiski, who has 30 years of experience in the fertilizer industry with Kemira, Yara and Sabic, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer in Azomures as of January 2018. Luc Schoonacker, who has 29 years of experience as a SHE specialist with Shell, Basell and OCI Fertilizers, is assuming the role of National Head SHE for Romania as of today.
These appointments will strengthen our management team and add valuable know-how to our operations.
