Ameropa Launches AI Initiative in Singapore with Government Support
Ameropa is launching a new artificial intelligence (AI) initiative in Singapore, marking an important step in its digital transformation.
The initiative is supported by a grant from Enterprise Singapore, the country’s trade and industry authority. With this support, Ameropa will build a dedicated team of AI specialists in Singapore over the next three years.
SmartTrade SG will develop tools to improve productivity and efficiency and to strengthen data analysis and decision-making across the business.
A Singapore-based team will lead the project and manage the full lifecycle of AI solutions, including research, development, deployment, and scaling. The initiative brings together multiple functions, including trading, chartering, operations, risk, IT, legal, and treasury.
The first phase will focus on fertilizer-related use cases developed as part of the grant application process. Over time, Ameropa plans to expand these solutions to other areas of the business, enhancing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and driving innovation across the company. In the coming months, Ameropa will also outline additional ways, such as training and other services, to support the business as opportunities in this area continue to grow.
With SmartTrade SG, Ameropa is taking its first structured step into AI and looks forward to starting this initiative in Singapore, a key hub for innovation and technology.
