Effective 1 July 2023, Ameropa is announcing changes to its Holding Board.

Renso Zwiers, former CEO of DSM Agro, who had served on the Board since 2017, sadly passed away on 25 March 2023. Christian Junker, former CEO of Danish Agro, has reached the statutory age limit after serving on the Board since 2019. Both Board Members have brought a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to Ameropa and have made decisive contributions in bringing the company forward.

In their stead, Ameropa welcomes Karin Perraudin and Matthias Altendorf as new members of the Board.

Karin Perraudin grew up in her family company Union Fruits in the French speaking part of Switzerland after obtaining an education in Business Administration and Accounting as well as working for five years at PWC where she was Head of Administration and Finance. In view of her knowledge of the Swiss agricultural sector and her financial skills, in 2016 she became a Member of the Board of the Swiss Agricultural Cooperative Fenaco. She is also the Chairman of the Board of the third largest Swiss health insurance company Groupe Mutuel Holding SA and has served on the Board of several other well-known Swiss companies.

Matthias Altendorf resides in the region of Basel and comes from a long career with what is now one of Switzerland’s largest family companies, Endress + Hauser; an extremely successful, globally active company in the field of measurement equipment and process control, best known for its excellent company culture, power of innovation and high standard of digitization. After ten very successful years as CEO, he will step down at the end of 2023 and has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Endress + Hauser.

Andreas Zivy, Chairman of Ameropa’s Holding Board said: "Both new members bring valuable experiences with them, which will complement the industry knowledge that we already have in the Board and in our management. Both have a very long and deep experience with family companies. We are pleased and honoured that they have agreed to serve on our Board and are looking forward to working with them."
