Agreement with Axéréal on the sale of Agri Négoce
Ameropa has entered into an agreement for the sale to Axéréal of our French subsidiary Agri Négoce S.A. in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir.
Subject to conditions (mainly anti-trust clearance), the closing is expected to take place during the second quarter of 2016.
Agri Négoce S.A. was part of the Ameropa Group since 1988 and is active as a retailer of fertilizers, seeds and plant protection chemicals as well as a collector of grains in a region stretching from Blois, to the South of Paris, to Le Mans which is West of Paris. Agri Négoce is an excellently managed and positioned company, but has lost all ties to the group activities over the years and has become a stand-alone company. We have therefore taken the decision to sell this company and would like to reinvest the proceeds into expanding our core businesses.
