Ameropa Champions Diversity and Inclusion: Hosts Networking Event for WISTA Switzerland Ahead of International Women's Day

Ahead of International Women's Day, Ameropa hosted a networking event for WISTA Switzerland at its premises in Binningen on 29 February 2024, bringing together professionals from various backgrounds in Trading and Shipping, and providing a platform for insightful discussions on diversity and inclusion best practices.

Ameropa, a member of WISTA since 2023, shared examples of the programs it has in place to support and encourage women in commercial roles. During the event, Ameropa’s Group Head of Human Resources, Simon Taylor, shared the company's perspective on diversity and inclusion. In his presentation, he emphasized Ameropa's commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and respected. This aligns with Ameropa's broader Sustainability Strategy goals, and the company’s C.A.R.E values (Connection, Agility, Reliability, Expertise; Care).

The timing of this event, leading up to International Women's Day on 8 March, spotlights Ameropa's openness to actively engaging with organizations like WISTA to drive positive change.

“We see this event as a step forward in championing diversity and inclusion within the Trading and Shipping sectors,” said Taylor. “It not only facilitated meaningful discussions but also provided a networking opportunity for professionals to connect and share their experiences in the field. The collaborative spirit and enthusiasm we saw and felt at this event reflect our shared commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry,” he continued.

Ameropa extends its gratitude to WISTA Switzerland, and to all the participants who contributed to making this event a memorable and enriching experience.
On International Women's Day, Ameropa renews its commitment to cultivating inclusion, nurturing diversity, and growing with C.A.R.E.
