Ameropa appoints new member to the Holding Board
Ameropa has appointed Stefano Rettore to its Board of Directors.
Andreas Zivy, Chairman of Ameropa's Holding Board: “We are pleased to have secured in Stefano a rare combination of industry experience in both grains and fertilizers on the one side and exposure to the new trends and technologies on the other. We look forward to Stefano joining our Board and contributing to the continued evolution of Ameropa.”
Stefano Rettore commented: “I am delighted to be joining the Board at this juncture. I admire Ameropa’s entrepreneurial spirit and the shareholders’ focus on making sure sustainability is embedded in the strategy of the company. I look forward to bringing my expertise in enabling the transition from more to better food, at the intersection of sustainability, technology, customer awareness and supply chains.”
Mr Rettore is a senior leader and an investor in the agri-food sector. Mr Rettore has invested in various start-up companies focusing on innovation in the agricultural supply chain. He is also a Board member of Deoleo, the global leader in olive oil, and is Vice-Chair of farmer connect, the software provider that enables fair, sustainable and traceable agriculture.
Mr Rettore started his career in Europe before moving to Brazil, where he became President of CHS South America, leading the U.S. farmers cooperative expansion in the continent. In 2015, he moved to Geneva and became President of CHS International, leading the company’s businesses in Europe, South America and Asia. In 2017 he joined ADM as Group Chief Risk Officer and member of the Executive Council. He was then appointed President of ADM Ag Services where he was responsible for the global agricultural activities, logistic transportation network and merchandising businesses.
